Frequently asked questions
Gutter Installation and Repair FAQs for Sanford Area Homeowners
Here are straightforward answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners planning a gutter installation, repair, or gutter guard project in the Sanford area and throughout Central Florida.
Do I need to be home for an estimate?
We do prefer that we can meet with you to show our color options, discuss downspout locations, and any other specifics needed on your job. By taking the time to meet with us, it allows us to deliver the best possible results upon installation.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes we are! we can provide certificates of insurance upon request. We are properly licensed and carry 1mm workers comp and 2mm general liability.
How much do you charge per foot?
There are many factors involved in determining cost for gutter installation. We need to know the proper size to use, if support wedges are needed, access, and if removal is required to name a few. For this reason we do not give per foot pricing information over the phone.
Do you have a minimum job requirement?
Yes, we do have a $650 minimum job requirement. This helps us maintain the same standard of custom-fabricated aluminum and copper gutters, proper installation techniques, and attention to detail on every job, whether it's a small repair or a full replacement.
Do you require a deposit for work to commence?
On many residential (homeowner) jobs, we do not ask for an upfront payment before installation.
We sometimes require a deposit when the work dictates custom products that cannot be returned, or when we are in peak season and must take deposits to ensure a customer's scheduling slot.
Do you install gutter guards to reduce cleaning and maintenance?
Yes. We install several gutter protection systems, including ONE Gutter Guard, Lock N Mesh, Gutter Glove Pro and Leaf Blaster Pro, depending on your roof type, tree coverage and budget. Gutter guard installation reduces how often your system needs professional gutter cleaning and helps protect the fascia and foundation from overflow damage.
How often should gutters be cleaned in Central Florida?
Most homes in the Sanford area benefit from professional gutter cleaning at least twice a year, once before the summer storm season and once after the trees drop their leaves in the fall. Homes with heavy oak or pine coverage, or homes near lakes and wooded areas, may need more frequent gutter cleaning to keep water flowing properly. If climbing a ladder to check your gutters sounds like more trouble than it's worth, a gutter guard installation can significantly cut down on how often cleaning is needed.
Do you install soffit and fascia, or handle drainage away from my home?
Yes. In addition to gutter installation and repair, we offer soffit and fascia installation and replacement to protect your roofline from moisture and pests, along with underground drainage solutions that move water away from your foundation instead of pooling in your yard. These services pair naturally with a new gutter system, since managing water from the roof to the ground works best as one connected system rather than separate fixes.
